About Dogs 3D Joints

About Us

This platform has been developed by Boehringer Ingelheim to support veterinarians in visualising and explaining the most common joint pathologies in dogs to pet owners, veterinary students and animal healthcare practitioners.

Dogs 3D Joints is fully equipped with the most innovative 3D technology and allows veterinarians to interactively demonstrate the pet’s joint structures and functions, both in healthy and diseased joints. This virtual simulation of high-resolution anatomical 3D models provides assistance to support communication and education of canine joint diseases.

The 3D models allow for interaction with the dog’s joints by flexing, extending, rotating 360-degrees and zooming into high-definition images for a detailed view. Anatomical structures and pathologies can be added or removed, so that the relevant area of the joint can be effectively visualised in both healthy and unhealthy states.
